Angel Investors “Don’t Want to Me You, They Want to Be Introduced to You”

When it comes to explaining his process, experienced angel investor Dan Martell asks: “how do I decide…and what makes it work?”

His three criteria in evaluating entrepreneurs:

  • Do I like them…do they inspire me? (investments are personal)
  • Can I create value for them outside of the money?
  • Am I a customer…do I understand the problem?

He discourages cold-calling investors as they “don’t want to meet you they want to be introduced to you.”
