When it comes to explaining his process, experienced angel investor Dan Martell asks: “how do I decide…and what makes it work?”
His three criteria in evaluating entrepreneurs:
- Do I like them…do they inspire me? (investments are personal)
- Can I create value for them outside of the money?
- Am I a customer…do I understand the problem?
He discourages cold-calling investors as they “don’t want to meet you they want to be introduced to you.”
