The Right Ask: How To End An Interview

Debbie Benami-Rahm, President of DBR Career Services, provides tips on how to put your best foot forward as the interview is winding down. You might ask: “Is there anything else you need to know about me that will help you make the hiring decision?” Importantly, don’t leave kicking yourself for forgetting to say something that you wanted to say.

  • This gives you a last opportunity to show your strengths, passions and talents.
  • Also, if dealing with the hiring manager: “How can I make your job easier?”  “What’s the biggest challenge that you have that I would be able to help you with if I was selected…?
  • What does success look like within the first six months in this position in this company?  How do you measure success…?
  • Finally, “Is there anything else that perhaps I can do to let you know how passionately I feel about this position?”
